Watersports This is the place to be if you're into your watersports, wether on the ocean or lake. From surfing, paddleskiing, canoeing, windsurfing, waveskiing, kite surfing, scuba diving, snorkeling - you name it, it's here. There are also top surf and dive schools in the area, where you can hire equipment, and be shown the ropes before braving the water on your own. Surfing Muizenberg is the perfect break for beginners and the more experienced surfer too. Plenty of waves to be had by all! Stop in at The Surf Shack and for excellent instructors at great rates, hire top equipment and a nice warm shower after taking on the bracing ocean. | |||||

Kite Surfing Contact Surfstore Africa South-Africa offers hundreds of magnificent places where to learn to kite surf safely. This makes South-Africa one of the best places in the world to learn to kite surf! Scuba Diving Pisces Divers are a friendly and professional PADI dive centre located a short drive from the guesthouse, just a few metres from the False Bay coast in Glencairn. Walking & Hiking There is a fabulous 1.6km walkway from Muizenberg to St James along the water’s edge. Benches have been conveniently placed to allow you to sit, relax & enjoy the view along the way. Walks for the more ambitious hikers start from Boyes Drive, just above the guesthouse and wind through pristine tracts of fynbos, up the Muizenberg Mountains. Hike up to the famous Kalk bay caves or scout up through the Steenberg plateau. We do supply picnic lunches on request. There are also prime fishing spots along the walkway from Muizenberg to St James - a favourite amongst local fisherman. Whale watching ...and you don't even need to leave the guesthouse! Relax on the balcony and watch them frolicking in the bay, or for a closer look, why not make your way down to one of the lovely restaurants on the water's edge. The whale watching season starts in September and ends in early November, when the whales come into the bay to calve. Mini Golf A wonderful little course can be found at the Muizenberg Pavilion, located next to the waterslides. A great place to take the kids! Cycling The scenery is breathtaking as you wind along the coast, why not do a bit of the famous Argus route while you're about it? Mountain biking trails can found in the area too, so for an off road adventure make your way to the Tokai and Silver Mine mountain bike trails. | |||||
